(iv) Right to be heard The consumer has the right to lodge a complaint and to be heard if he is not satisfied with a good or service. For this reason, many enlightened companies have set up their own consumer service and complaints cells. (v) Right of appeal The Consumer Protection Act provides for a series of facilitations, including replacement of the product, correction of a defect in the product, compensation for loss or damage suffered by the consumer, etc. (vi) Consumer right to education The consumer has the right to acquire knowledge about products. He must be aware of his rights and the facilities available to him if a product / service does not meet his expectations.
